With ‘0D-4D’ Juyoung Jung created a collection of objects that seek to visualize the progression from the 0th dimension, representing the realm of nothingness, to the 4th dimension, which lies beyond our ordinary perception. Inspired by the following statement: ”When dots come together, they become a line; when lines come together, they become a plane; when planes come together, they become a space” the project illustrates how simple elements can expand into more complex forms and spaces.
Initially Juyoung created objects using only linear elements that originate from points. Then she intersected elements to create surfaces and volumes. Before finally creating flexible connecting structures that can change shape and color based on movement. Representing four-dimensional objects that exist across space and time. By visually representing how new dimensions can emerge, Juyoung challenges our understanding of space.
0D-4D invites viewers to contemplate on the possibilities of existence beyond our conventional modes of perception. Therefore this project not only presents aesthetically pleasing objects but also prompts profound questions about the fabric of reality and our place within it.
