Do you ever feel like you don’t have anything to wear? In the Netherlands, on average, every individual owns around 173 pieces of clothing. Only 50 of these pieces are actually being worn. This means that 71% of the clothing we own is not being used. For ‘Mom, can I look in your closet' designer Max Claassen developed a collection of attachable and detachable styling tools that allow users to reshape existing clothing and accessories to discover new aesthetics possibilities and opportunities for individual expression. The action of making people rework things they already own also allows a kind of reflection on the value of products and generates a renewed sense of engagement.

Allowing people to develop new applications for products that beforehand had only limited use cases. By allowing users to alter their existing products Max promotes them to create the contemporary out of the temporary.
